I am so excited to start this year off feeling awesome to have my wardrobe looking organised. That is why I thought I’d create a wardrobe staples guide to help myself but to help anyone else who wants to have their wardrobe organised. I feel like when everything falls into place especially my clothes, shoes and accessories are organised. It makes me feel less stress and excited to get dress each day.
Above is few basics that I have in my wardrobe, I like to make sure that I have new jeans that fit my body shape as we do tend to change each year. I’ve gone on a search for the best wardrobe staples for 2021, where I have found some items at forevernew and famousfootwear, although these items can be found in any retail stores for example Target, Big W and Myer.
CAMIS
Camis are very versatile item of clothing, they are very playful and come in many colours and styles. I like how Camis can be paired with any items in my wardrobe especially under lace tops. I personally don’t wear much in the way of camis, unless under other clothing.
COATS
In 2019 for my trip to Perth WA, I bought a new lilac coat from Ally Fashion. Black coats is easy paired with any outfit to complete any look. I love having a variety of coats in my wardrobe to create different looks.
Jackets & Cardigans
Jackets, cardigans and blouse are great essential item to have for day, work, and night to compliment any outfits, they can be worn with jeans, skirts or dresses you can dress them up or keep them casual. My favourite jacket is the black leather jacket and my denim jacket during those cooler days.
TEES
I’m such a Paris Print or a basic tee kind of girl, never been one to like rude slogans and other prints. Tees a such an easy item to have in any wardrobe, whether casual black tee, strips or prints, or any colour.
JEANS
There are a so many styles of jeans, they are boot leg, straight, boyfriend, skinny and high rise jeans. I have about five different colour of jeans in my wardrobe, they are four shades of blue and one black. I have mostly worn the light blue jeans but the black jeans I wear in winter.
DRESSES
Dresses have always been a favourite of mine, the past couple of years I have added more dresses to my wardrobe that are more in the floral and pastel colours. One staple item to have is a LBD(little black dress) which is very versatile to dress it in any way you like.
TOPS
Everyone needs some go-to tops in their wardrobe that are more elegant then the simple camis that . I love short sleeves, floral, frills, especially peplums which are my favourite, I tend to buy a lot of light colour tops mainly pinks and blues. I enjoy wearing a stylish top with a skirt or jeans.
SKIRTS
The most versatile skirt worth having is the black midi which is ideal for work, day, or evenings if you find the right styles and shapes to suit your body shape. I like wearing pleated midi skirts or floral midi skirts and leather skirts.
SHOES
There are five types of shoes that are a must have in any wardrobe, that I think are handy to have and they are sandals, flats, heels, sneakers and boots. Black is a more versatile colour to have that will go with anything, unless you prefer tan/nude colour shoes. I like more lighter tones in shoes, although in boots I tend to go more black. These days white colour runners are great to wear and I see a lot of women wearing them with dresses or skirts.
Accessories
A black or brown handbag are one essential items for both day, work and evenings. For evenings a clutch or crossover are great to compliment your evening outfit. Jewellery are a must have items to wear.
Knitwear
Knitwear are great to in the wardrobe for those cold winter days and nights and can be worn over any outfits. I love wearing a lovely and warm knitted jumper in winter,
